New Haven High reflects on the Olympics

For the past few weeks, the Winter Olympics have been taking place. It recently ended on February 25th. Following the Olympics, New Haven High School students were asked about the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and also how they feel about these events. Each student that replied had various (but similar) comments on the topic.

When asked why they enjoy watching the Olympics, answers varied.

Lauren Gerlemann, senior, commented, “I think it's amazing to see people who have trained their whole lives essentially to be a part of something like the Olympics. It's awesome to see the dedication and hard work they put in for these events that sometimes last only a few seconds.”

“I think I love the Olympics because they only come around every two years, and you only see either the winter or summer Olympics every four years,” senior Liz Hughes added. “I think the waiting that happens between each Olympics is what makes it so exciting,”

Some of the fan-favorite sports consist of the halfpipe, figure skating, bobsledding, and snowboarding. Shaun White, Red Gerald, Mack Mcmorris, Alexa Scimeca-Knierim and Chris Knierim are all athletes that students of New Haven High love watching.

The Olympics are a big part of families too. Grace Soete, junior, has the Olympics playing all the time. “At my house during the Olympics, we hardly ever change the channel. It's always on. I like to watch it because it amazes me how talented those people are. There's several 17 year olds in the Olympics and that just blows my mind!”

Even though the Olympics have wrapped up, we would still like to thank the athletes for representing the United States of America.

Shamrock Conversation: Jordan Willimann

Jordan Willimann, a New Haven alumni, has been at New Haven Middle School for about 2 years, taking Mr. Carey’s position as the Math and P.E. teacher. In addition to teaching, he also coaches middle school boys basketball and varsity baseball.

Mr. Willimann was asked if he had felt any pressure taking Mr. Carey’s position. Mr. Willimann stated, “I did put pressure on myself. Mr. Carey taught me and was a leader in the school. He was a great teacher and I knew I had a big void to fill with him leaving.”

Before taking this position, he went to college at Maryville University, and like most people, he had a few options in mind when it came to his future career-- teaching and becoming an engineer. The decision was tough but he eventually made it.

Mr. Willimann later mentioned, “My freshman year of college, I took a class that traveled to different schools and observed and worked with students. After that, I knew teaching was the profession I wanted to go into.”

Mr. Williman commented, “My family has been very supportive of my career choice and has been helpful wherever I've taught.”

There can be some downsides to teaching, however, as Mr. Willimann stated, “There is a lot of work that teachers have to put in outside of school, but I think it is all well worth it.”

When talking about the upsides, Mr. Willimann asserted, “Helping my students every day and watching them grow personally and academically throughout the school year.”

As we all know, teaching can be troublesome at times, but Mr. Willimann is staying positive and continuing his career one day at a time.

New Haven High School FBLA Basket Raffle

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) held its annual basket raffle February 16th, during the Homecoming game against Hermann. FBLA members sold tickets throughout Homecoming week and at the game on Friday evening. FBLA was able to raise just over $1,000.00 allowing us to donate $500 each to two local families in need.
We would like to thank all the organizations who donated baskets this year: The Central Office, FBLA, FCA, FCCLA, Girls’ Volleyball & Basketball Team, National Honor Society, and TV/Studio. Additionally, we greatly appreciate the communities continued support of our organization and our efforts to help those within our community.

National Honor Society holds a food drive for the Buddy Bags Program

From February 5th to the 16th, National Honor Society (NHS) encouraged students to bring in food items for a food drive that would benefit the Buddy Bags Program. To encourage students even more, every item that was brought in was worth spirit points for their class. The preferred items were worth two points.

The Buddy Bags Program is an outreach ministry of the “More Than” youth group of the Memorial Baptist Church. This group provides students in the New Haven School District with needed food for the weekend.

A list of preferred items was hung around the school. That list included instant oatmeal packs, mini cereal boxes, breakfast bars, peanut butter on-the-go cups, Maruchan instant lunch cups, Chef Boyardee pasta bowls, Easy Mac macaroni and cheese cups, instant tuna and chicken salad kits, vegetable cups, fruit cups, applesauce cups, pudding cups, raisin boxes, individual-size bags of cheez-Its and animal crackers, peanut butter crackers, cheese and crackers, and granola bars.

The total items collected in these two weeks was 574 items! Great job! The senior class won the most spirit points, with 493 points! The sophomore class had the second most with 345 points! The freshmen had 156 points, and the junior class had 142 points. Good job to all four classes!

Mrs. Oelrichs, NHS sponsor, said, “We did not have a specific goal. We just wanted to encourage students to donate what they could.”

She continued: “The Buddy Bags Program specifically benefits students in our school district, so donating to this organization allows our students to directly help their classmates.

New Haven High: Where do students get their news?

Recently, a Google Form was sent to every student in each class at New Haven High. The goal of this form was to discover where students get their news from and what source is most common in our school.

From a list of given platforms, students could choose multiple answers or enter their own.

Forty-three students responded, and the most common news source, leading with 79.1%, is…

Snapchat.

Fox 2 News and Instagram followed behind at 48.8%. Facebook came in fourth at 46.5%, and in fifth was CNN with 34.9%.

In the same poll, students were asked which platform they use most often for leisure and recreational use. Snapchat took the lead again with 60.5%, with both Facebook and Instagram in a distant second at 11.6%.

Students were also asked to predict which platform would be the most common in our school. A majority voted that Snapchat is the most popular, with Instagram falling far behind in second.

Lexi Oetterer, a junior participant, commented, “I think that Snapchat would be the most common in our school. Many people have it downloaded and use it every day, and since it offers access to stories from news channels, it’s easier for users to find news within the app.”

For those unfamiliar with Snapchat, the app features ‘stories,’ which are videos and photos that are visible to the public, or to a select audience chosen by the user.

Michelle Bahena, a senior who also completed the survey, mentioned, “[The most common is] Snapchat because it easily connects everyone, and it’s fun. Also, it has various purposes: communication, filters, news, polls, and video/picture.”

Many students said that Snapchat is an easy way to get in touch with their friends, access stories about many different topics, and is a quicker way to talk.

The internet has revolutionized our daily lives, and through the students of New Haven High, we are slowly coming closer to realizing how our world is truly a digitized world.

Upcoming student transitions at NHHS

We have all experienced a transition-- whether it was in school or out in the world-- and we all approached it differently. Luckily, according to our transitioning students, they are approaching their upcoming changes positively.

The eighth graders, who are transitioning into high school, have reported nothing but joyous thoughts about continuing into high school.

Emma Rohlfing has said, “I am excited to have only four classes a day and having my own Chromebook.”

Miranda Yarbrough is excited about “all the new activities that will be open to [her] like STUCO districts and camp.”

However, some eighth graders have also claimed to be scared about finding classrooms, and how much harder the classes may be.

While on the other hand, Miranda Yarbrough has no worries. She has said, “I feel like as long as I do my best and treat others as kindly as I want to be treated, my high school experience should go pretty well.”

The seniors, however, have a very different transition approaching them. They will be leaving NHHS in a few short months for good. It’s goodbye high school, hello real world for them.

Some are nervous:

Hannah White said she is scared of all of the unknowns yet to come.

Lacie Grater mentioned, “I am scared to actually start ‘adulting.’”

Nevertheless, some are excited:

Aiden Bailey simply stated he is excited to go to college.

Emily Knoppe has said, “I'm excited about starting my life on my own as an adult.”

Whether they are happy, sad, or in between, the seniors do have some things about their high school experiences that they will carry with them even after they walk across the stage at graduation.

The seniors have loved all of their teachers and classes, but many have reported Ms. McCroskey as being their favorite due to her preparing her students for the real world. Mrs. Schlafer has also been said to be missed dearly by seniors when they leave the high school for good.

The class of 2018 has also made glorious memories with each other during their time here at NHHS. Some memories were made during dances, leadership week, the dodgeball tournaments, Christmas decorating, and lots of other activities.

However, like Britany Willimann pointed out, the seniors still have one last great shebang together before the 2017-2018 school year comes to an end-- senior trip! Many unforgettable memories will be made on the trip as they travel to New York, Washington D.C., and so many more exciting places. This trip will surely be one of their greatest adventures from all of their high school careers.

With May’s fast approach, we are all looking forward to the many changes. We are welcoming the class of 2022 as they come into high school and saying goodbye to the class of 2018 as they move on from NHHS into their own adult lives. We wish both classes the best of luck through their transition-- you’ll all do great.

New Haven students sing in Conference Choir

This year's Conference Choir was on Tuesday, February 13th, at Owensville High School and Hermann High School. The New Haven students that are performing in the choir are Miranda Durbin, Britany Willimann, Cassandra and Angela Kuhlmann, Abbigale and Devin Buchheit, Savanna Hanna, Kamryn Poe, Makayla Jackson, Rylan Ball, Mason Johnson, Russell Pinnell, and Josh Kleinheider. These students were picked by New Haven choir director Mrs. Katherine Taylor.

The choir had a rehearsal day on Saturday, February 10th, at Union High School. The rehearsal day was to have all the students selected for the Conference Choir get together and practice their songs as a group.

“What I probably liked most was hearing everyone sing as a whole,” said Savanna Hanna. “Everyone did amazing and for it being my first time actually going to Conference Choir. It was a neat experience.”

On the day of the concert, the Conference Choir sang at Owensville High School first, then performed at Hermann High School.

“I really like performing at OHS. We got a standing ovation,” said Kamryn Poe.

The songs that the choir sang were “Come to the Music” (words and music by Joseph M. Martin); “Tshotsholoza (Go Forward)” (adapted by Jeffery L. Ames); “How Can I Keep from Singing” (music by Greg Gilpin); and “Peace, Like Welcome Rain” (by Mark Patterson).

Britany Willimann was asked what her favorite song was, and she replied, “‘Tshotsholoza’ because it really allowed you vocal freedom, and was upbeat and fun.”

Gerlemann joins the 1,000-point club

On Tuesday, February 6, in front of a packed house on Senior Night, the Shamrocks put up a fight against St. Clair, but fell short 61-43. The best part of the night, though, happened with 2:19 left to go in the 4th quarter.

Senior Lauren Gerlemann entered the game with a career scoring total of 986. She needed only 14 points to reach the 1,000-point mark. At the 2:19 mark, Gerlemann grabbed a defensive rebound, pushed it up the floor, and banked in a short jumpshot. That jumpshot pushed Lauren over 1,000 career points. She finished the game with 15 points.

Fellow senior Emily Scheer commented on her teammate, stating, “1,000 points is a great accomplishment, and it takes a lot of hard work. I was very proud of Lauren, and I was glad I got to be a part of my best friend’s major achievement. The last four years have been filled with so many great memories, and I’m glad she could achieve this milestone as our senior year winds down.”

In her 3 years as a varsity starter, Lauren has averaged roughly 13 points and 7 rebounds per game. She has also averaged around 2 assists and 2 steals per game.

Head coach Doug Peirick commented, “Lauren has a great attitude towards making herself and those around her better every day. That is why all of her teams have been so successful. She is a role model that our younger players could and should model their basketball efforts around. No matter what we are doing in practice, she never takes a drill or a play off. Lauren has been a great asset to New Haven athletics, and will be very missed after graduation. With her work ethic and mindset to constantly improve, she will be successful in whatever she chooses to do.”

In addition to being a standout on the basketball court, Lauren has also been a tremendous part of the past few years of success on our volleyball and track teams. Lauren was instrumental in helping the track team to the final four the last 2 years, with last year’s run culminating in a state championship. In her sophomore year, she was a part of our state champion 4 by 400 relay team, and the state champion in the triple jump. Last year, she was state champion in the long jump.

In volleyball, Lauren was named to the academic all-conference team 2 times, and academic all-state 3 times. She was also named to the all-conference team 2 times, all-district 2 times, and all-state in her senior year.

When asked about Lauren, volleyball coach Jaime Hoener stated, “I think Lauren is a great example of what an athlete in a small school should be. I know that her favorite sport is not volleyball. I don’t even think her second favorite sport is volleyball! However, she gave it her all to help her classmates be successful in their favorite sport. In return, her classmates did the same.”

Lauren, your constant dedication and commitment to this school both in athletics and the classroom have been very much appreciated. Congratulations on 1,000 points, and thank you for your commitment to our school.

Students share their thoughts about Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day has happened at New Haven High School and there are many activities that have happened at NHHS. Spirit Week was last week for the high school. NHHS had a dodgeball tournament and assemblies planned throughout the week.

All of the students of New Haven High were asked how they planned to spend their Valentine’s Day, and Elsie McNabb, junior, said, “Sitting at home, watching sappy love movies, stuffing my face with pizza!”

“I wish I could spend it with my girlfriend, who is in Chicago,” replied sophomore Bernabe Ribera.

Timothy Madden, junior, answered, “Eat candy and watch some movies, maybe go to the theater with my girlfriend.”

“I plan on spending it with my friends and driving around while I have music going,” said Devin Buchheit, senior.

“I probably will plan on spending time with my boyfriend if I have time to,” said junior Desiree Strehlau.

Emily Knoppe, senior, responded with, “I’ll probably spend it alone at home stuffing my face.”

Next, the students were asked about their favorite candy available around this time of year, and senior Elizabeth Hughes answered, “I know it’s not a candy, but chocolate-covered strawberries are my favorite.”

Lexi Oetterer, junior, responded with, “My favorite candy to eat is Kit Kats, but they are here all year round. I do love the red heart suckers that are only here during Valentine’s.”

“Snickers are good year-round, especially during Valentine’s,” said Martin Lewis, junior.

Britany Willimann, senior, responded with, “Chocolate roses are absolutely amazing.”

“My favorite would probably have to be heart-shaped chocolate and chocolate in general,” said junior Julia Unnerstall.

The students were also asked what their favorite romance movie was, and junior Kamryn Poe responded with, “I hate romance movies. I do like the movie 50 First Dates, but that is more of a rom com.”

“My favorite would probably have to be The Notebook,” said Chloe Lueckenhoff, freshman.

“I would probably have to say Hitch is my favorite,” replied sophomore Brandon Young.

Claire Meyer, junior, responded with, “I love any Nicholas Sparks movie.”

They were then asked if there were any memorable gifts or moments they have had on Valentine’s Day, and junior Diana Ribera said, “I got Hello Kitty PJ’s and a Hello Kitty stuffed animal with my boyfriend's cologne sprayed on [it]. It was the best since I was going to be in Chicago for a while. It was cute. I still have it sitting on my bed.”

“In past years, my boyfriend and I just watch movies. It may not seem like much, but I love it,” answered junior Callie Weatherly.

“One time when we made the Valentine’s boxes in elementary [school] someone put a pair of scissors in mine,” said Vanessa Vallejo, junior.

“My baby niece was born on Valentine’s Day,” responded freshman Oliver Garren.

Abbigale Buchheit, freshman, replied, “I got a teddy bear for one and it was my absolute favorite.”

The last question asked to the students was who their Valentine was, and Lydia Otten, sophomore, answered, “Zac Efron, all the way!”

Sarah McKernan, senior, replied, “I already have my boyfriend, so I don’t need anybody else.”

Aiden Bailey said, “My Valentine is my girlfriend, Lydia Pataky.”

Junior Makayla Jackson answered, “I would say Isaiah Turner is my Valentine.”

And to echo the thoughts of many single people in New Haven, Alyssa Sidwell, freshman, simply said, “I hate everyone.”

Valentine’s Day seemed to be exciting for some students and just another day for some. We hope New Haven had a happy Valentine’s Day full of joy and love!

New Haven High School has announced Kate Ruediger as the January Student of the Month. Kate is the daughter of Rick and Pam Ruediger. At NHHS, Kate is involved with Volleyball (Captain), Basketball, Track and Field, Marching Band Auxiliary (Captain), FBLA, NHS, Student Council and FCA. When she is not at school, Kate enjoys being with friends, watching movies and playing with her dog. After graduation this spring, Kate plans to attend Mizzou where she will continue her athletic career and pursue a degree in accounting.

Middle School Volleyball Season Starts, Welcomes New Players

New Haven Middle School volleyball practice started about three weeks ago, on Monday, January 29th. Even after missing one practice due to scheduling, the 7th grade girls (Madison McCarty, Tressa Carver, MIkayla McFerrin, Jarlin Alvarez, Kaitlyn Jones, Ava Oelrichs, Kelsey Brumels, Jessica Underwood, Izzy Hale, Aaliyah Bates, Tessa Schweich, and Maci Christian) have all been doing a great job! Everyone has been really good with cheering on all the girls and making everyone feel like a team. The 7th grade team members think the 8th grade girls are nice to have at the practices, to help them understand plays and drills.

So far waking up at 5 am on Wednesdays hasn't been the worst, I honestly think those practices are more fun because we have both nets so we don't have to wait an hour for the eighth grade to be done with practice.

With our first game in Washington on Feb. 22 coming soon, we have a lot of work to do. Just enough though to be able to win. We all have our strengths that keep us looking good because every girl has a strength that another doesn’t, which we are taking to our advantage.

Halftime shootouts take place during Varsity games

On Tuesday, February 6, halftime shootouts were held during Varsity girls and boys games against St. Clair. The selection process was done by Mrs. Katie Borcherding. She had a highlighted list of high schoolers’ names and let toddlers or young children that go to New Haven Elementary pick who they wanted to see shoot.

The chosen students had 30 seconds to make a layup, a free throw, a three-pointer, and a half-court shot. If the students made a layup, they would get candy, a free throw would get them candy, soda, popcorn, and a burger from the concession stand, a three-pointer would earn them Lancitos pizza at lunch, and a half-court shot would win them $50 to the Ice Cream Shoppe.

During the girls’ halftime, Demetri Pataky, a sophomore, and Maya Wideman, a freshman, were the lucky students that got picked. Demetri and Maya both made the first three shots. They both won candy, concession stand coupons, and Lancitos pizza at lunch.

“I was very shocked when I found out that I had to shoot because I was told I didn't have to do it. Someone told me they already picked a person and it wasn’t me”, stated Maya.

Demetri truthfully commented, “I thought I was going to do awful.”

During the boys’ halftime, Lydia Pataky, a senior, and Bradley Glaser, a junior, were the students that got chosen. Bradley made his first shot, winning candy. Lydia made all four shots in a row, winning candy, concession stand coupons, Lancitos pizza at lunch, and $50 to the Ice Cream Shoppe.

“I was excited when I was able to do the shootout because I've never done it before. I honestly just wanted to do the shootout for the fun of it. I went out there thinking I would only make it to the three-point shot. I had no idea I would make them all, especially in a row”, explained Lydia.

Lydia continued, “Once I realized I made the half-court shot, I threw my hands in the air and spun around. Also having a whole crowd cheering over you is pretty insane!”

Congratulations to all who won prizes and had some fun.

New Haven High hosts Senior Night

On Tuesday, February 6, New Haven High held their annual Senior Night to recognize all the senior athletes. Senior Night was held between the girls’ varsity game and the boys’ varsity game against St. Clair.

When asked about Senior Night, Kenzie Bauer commented, “It felt bittersweet to know that my high school career at New Haven High School is quickly coming to an end. It really put into perspective how big of an impact all three sports that I participate in have had on my life.”

When asked about her favorite part of Senior Night, Emily Scheer stated, “Usually it is only a boys' game on Senior Night, but my favorite part was actually getting to play a game. Getting to play, walking down, and then cheering on the varsity boys was a great way to spend the night.”

Kate Ruediger commented, “My favorite part of Senior Night was cheering on the boys. Walking down was somewhat bittersweet because it put into perspective that we are getting close to our last home game.”

Emma Engelbrecht also had a few comments about Senior Night. “Walking down with my parents was my favorite part because they were finally able to be recognized for everything they have done. It felt very surreal to be walking down and felt like I couldn't possibly be a senior yet.”

Lauren Gerlemann said, “Walking down with my parents on Senior Night was a bittersweet moment. It gave me that feeling that my senior year is almost done and my sports career after 4 years is done with.”

The seniors were also asked if they had any advice for the underclassmen. Emily Sheer’s advice was, “Never take a practice, game, or day for granted because it will all be gone before you know it. Make the most of your sports careers by being competitive, but also have fun with what you are playing. Try your hardest, forgive your mistakes, and learn from them.”

Kate Ruediger stated, “Advice to juniors: Enjoy it while it lasts. It goes by in the blink of an eye.”

Lauren Gerlemann also shared her advice with the underclassmen. “I would advise people to enjoy everything you can about your sports. From the terrible practice to the good ones. All the friends and memories you make. Enjoy it all and take it in, because 4 years goes way too fast. Don't take your sports careers for granted; enjoy everything your sport has to offer you.”

So listen up, underclassmen. You may think you have a lot of time to play the sports that you love and make memories with your teammates, but the truth is, you don’t. So don’t take any opportunity for granted and make sure you make the most of your time at New Haven High.

Students at New Haven High take an Independent Study art class

The traditional art curriculum isn’t always for everyone, so New Haven High School gives students the unique opportunity to take an Independent Study class. The class is supervised by art teacher Mrs. Katie Borcherding. This year, there are seven students enrolled in the class: Lydia Pataky, Callie Weatherly, Kimmy McDowell, Emily Knoppe, Megan Boehmer, Lacie Grater, Abbey Grater, and Claire Laune.

“I get to do whatever I want for my projects,” said Lydia Pataky. “Being free to color, paint, draw, etc. [whatever] I want.”

There are many projects that have already been completed. Callie Weatherly has made an Alice in Wonderland-themed tea set, created the scene of downtown New Haven using felt, and she started a quilling piece to represent her own personal timeline. Emily Knoppe has done an eclipse painting, a chalk pastel drawing, and a few marker drawings. Lacie Grater has done a wood-burning/glass piece, a marbling-over-sharpie design, and unique drawing designs.

“I enjoy working freely on what I like and creating new designs,” said Lacie Grater, senior. “Being able to choose my project and what I want to do.”

The Independent Art students are working on various pieces right now. Lydia Pataky is doing a color pencil drawing of Cecilia Malone. Megan Boehmer is making cups and mugs out of clay. Emily Knoppe is working on a painting with surreal elements, while Callie Weatherly is working on a color pencil city scene.

“Independent Study allows me to be creative and have the freedom in creating different art pieces,” said Megan Boehmer. “It allows me to express my creative side freely.”

Some of these students also have plans and ideas for future projects including sculptures, drawings, paintings, and other projects using any medium. Although others don’t have specific ideas, they said that they are just going to make whatever may inspire them.

“It's fun and free flowing,” commented Callie Weatherly. “There are endless possibilities.”

Middle School Selling Sham-Grams to Help Classmate

   Starting on Monday, February 12, the middle school STUCO will be selling Sham-grams. STUCO will pass them out on Valentine’s Day on Wednesday. STUCO will be selling Sham-grams in the cafeteria. Sham-grams will be sold for 25 cents each and all money earned will be given to a local family.
   Sham-grams are paper given to a friend. You get to pick who to send the Sham-gram to. You could write your name to say who it is from or make it a mystery person. Each Sham-gram usually comes with a piece of candy taped to it. You give Sham grams to people you appreciate or admire.
   In my opinion, I like Sham-grams. I really like how the money is being donated to a family. I giving and receiving Sham-grams because it makes me feel special. Sham-grams are a great act of kindness.
Any community members interested in donating to the fundraiser can bring or send checks to the New Haven Middle School office. Checks can be written to New Haven Public Schools and money will be given to student.

Little Cheerleader Camp girls perform after JV game

On January 30 and 31, the NHHS cheerleaders went to New Haven Elementary School, where they practiced two different group cheers with the kids they chose to perform with on February 1, after the JV game.

Diana Ribera, junior, and Lydia Pataky, senior, taught kindergarten and pre-K; Bernabe Ribera, sophomore, and Megan Boehmer, junior, had first grade; Grace Soete, junior, and Elsie McNabb, junior, had second grade; Mikayla Maloney, junior, had third grade; and Lexi Oetterer, junior, had fourth, fifth, and sixth grade.

When cheerleader Grace Soete was questioned about what the Little Cheerleader Camp was, she replied with, “Little Cheer Camp is an opportunity for elementary school kids to learn a few cheers and perform them with the cheerleaders at a basketball game.”

Lexi Oetterer was asked what they did during the camp, and she said, “When we got our groups together, we all had given our groups their snacks for the day. When the kids were done with their snacks, we taught them the cheers assigned to their age group.”

The cheerleaders were asked what their favorite moment from the camp was, and Mikayla Maloney responded with, “When the girls kept asking me to do the splits because they thought it was the coolest thing.”

Elsie McNabb said, “When we all came together in the end and did our big group cheer ‘Here We Go Shamrocks’.”

Lexi answered with, “I loved being able to watch all the kids do the cheers. They are all so cute because even though they know the cheers, they always add in their own steps and it’s super cute.”

On February 1, the night of the performance, all the cheerleaders had different feelings when they performed, and Grace said, “I was excited for the girls. They worked very hard and were anxious to get out there and perform for their parents.”

Diana Ribera said, “I was so excited to perform with the little girls. They looked like they were having fun while cheering so that made me even happier. And they looked so cute while doing the cheers!”

Great work to all the cheerleaders and the little girls that performed at the game!
