Help Needed:
A person or persons to coordinate American Red blood drives that are held at American Legion Post 366. Help is needed starting in 2023. There are four blood drives held each year. Please contact Ruth Peirick at 573-237-3368 or at [email protected] for more information. A passionate argument about whether there are more wheels or doors in the world has taken over the internet. The February 2022 Student of the Month for New Haven High School is Ryan Stutzman. Ryan is the daughter of Chip and Shelley Stutzman. Ryan was the captain of the softball team, is a member of FCCLA, is the president of FCA, and is the secretary of FBLA and Student Council..
Ryan was nominated because she is a good student and a positive role model. Teachers see her including students from different classes and peer groups in activities. She is kind and friendly to students and staff. She, and a few other students, have done a fantastic job leading the student cheering section at basketball games. Their enthusiasm and spirit was seen by all and made games even more fun to attend. Ryan’s awards for softball include being named 1st Team All-District her freshman, sophomore, and junior year. She was named 1st Team All-Conference her junior and senior year as well as 2nd Team All-Conference her freshman and sophomore year. Ryan was named 1st Team All-Area her junior year and 2nd Team All-Area her senior year. Outside of school, Ryan plays travel softball with her team, Missouri Fury. When she is not at school, working, or on the softball field she enjoys baking and spending time with her friends. New Haven Middle School’s Student of the Month for February is Brandon Wiedemann. Brandon is the son of Tim and LeAnne Wiedemann. Brandon is on the Track and Field team and spends his free time reading.
Brandon enjoys helping out around the house and helping his grandma. Brandon has read over 1,000 books since kindergarten! His teachers say that he is a diligent student and helps his classmates. Brandon contributes to class discussions, provides insight to the topics discussed, and keeps other students thinking about different perspectives. His teachers also report that Brandon is always courteous and they enjoy having him in class. |
