New Haven High School Student of the Month

12/7/2021

Logan Williams is the New Haven High School student of the month for November 2021. Logan is the son of Kyle and Tiffany Williams. Logan is a three-sport athlete participating in cross country, basketball, and track. He is a member of the student council, National Honor Society, and FBLA.
Logan is a 4-year varsity athlete for cross country, a 3-year varsity athlete for basketball, and a 2-year varsity athlete for track. He has been awarded Academic All-Conference for cross country and basketball. He was All-District for cross country twice and once for track in the 400m. Logan was on the Class 2, 4th place cross country team in 2018, and placed 27th individually in the 2021 state cross country race.
As an FBLA competitor, Logan has been a district champion four times and qualified for state six times. Last year he qualified for the national FBLA competition. Outside of school Logan likes to hunt, watch movies, and play golf. He also likes NBA Top Shot.

New Haven Middle School Student of the Month

Claire Hellmann is the New Haven Middle School student of the month for November 2021. Claire is the daughter of Scott and Elizabeth Hellmann. Claire is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She also plays volleyball and basketball.
Claire has received school awards this year for being helpful and kind. She has received an award for being inducted into the National Junior Honors Society, and for being on the high honor roll and honor roll. Claire holds the record for reading 1,039 books throughout her school years at the New Haven School District.
Outside of school, Claire is involved in both basketball and volleyball, and she occasionally helps out at a church that gives out food for people who need it most. She loves to craft at home in her free time. In the summer, she enjoys being on the river and Lake of the Ozarks boating. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her family and friends since they are the most important people in her life.
Claire likes to hunt with her dad and can make lots of things by hand because she knows how to sew and knit. She also enjoys being creative and using her imagination when painting and drawing in her spare time and she loves to read.
