Mackenzie is the daughter of Becky and Brian Abbott and Tim Wilson. She is an active member of NHHS. Mackenzie plays both softball and basketball. She is the baseball manager, an FBLA member, and the vice president of FCCLA, NHS, FCA, and the Class of 2022.
Mackenzie’s accomplishments include 1st team all conference-softball (9, 10, 11, 12), 1st team all district-softball (9, 10, 11, 12), Academic all conference-softball (9, 10, 11), Academic all state- softball (11), 2nd team all conference-basketball (10), 1st team all conference-basketball (11), 1st team all district- basketball (10, 11), academic all conference-basketball (9, 10, 11), All State-basketball, Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award, High Honor Roll (all semesters), and has been chosen as the KLPW Athlete of the Week. When Mackenzie is not busy with school she likes spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys playing basketball and being outdoors. Mackenzie has committed to Culver-Stockton College to play basketball after high school. Mackenzie was nominated for Student of the Month by three different staff members. The staff members mentioned that Mackenzie is always ready to help in any way that she can, that she is an extremely hard worker, is organized, and sets a great example for her fellow students. Nicole McNew is New Haven Middle School’s October Student of the Month. Nicole is the daughter of Jenny and Ed McNew. Nicole was nominated for being an excellent student and making great strides in the classroom. She asks lots of questions and stays focused. Her teachers report that she is kind to her peers and always does the right thing. Nicole is willing to help others and is respectful to those around her.
Nicole says that math is her favorite subject and when she isn’t at school, she likes to walk her dogs, watch T.V., and help with house chores. |
