Ryan Steinbeck is the November Student of the Month for New Haven High School. Ryan is the son of Eric and Julie Steinbeck. Ryan is involved in cross country, basketball, baseball, Student Council, National Honor Society, and is the class treasurer. He has received two Academic All-Conference awards for cross country and one Academic All-Conference award for basketball and baseball. Ryan was nominated because he worked hard on the cross country team this fall, and achieved a personal record time and his first trip to the state meet. He has also been a great role model for his younger teammates, encouraging them and motivating them to improve. He is also a hard worker in classes this year, consistently scoring some of the highest scores on exams. Ryan is very dedicated to teams he participates in. Outside of school he helps on the family farm and splits wood. During the summer Ryan helps with the Stony Hill Church Picnic. He likes to play with his dogs, play video games with friends, hunt, and play sports. Congratulations, Ryan!
Dakota Greunke is the November Student of the Month for New Haven Middle School. She is the daughter of David and Sam Greunke. Dakota is involved in Yearbook Club, NJHS, Student Council, and basketball. She has been on the "A" Honor Roll many times. Outside of school Dakota enjoys playing softball for the St. Louis Pirates Fastpitch Softball organization and going hunting with her dad & grandpa in the fall. Her favorite thing about being a Shamrock is having a close knit community of friends. Dakota was nominated because she is one of the hardest working students at NHMS. She is a peer most students turn to for academic assistance. Dakota is a responsible, kind, and helpful classmate and student. Her teachers can always count on Dakota to participate in class discussions, complete her work with incredible thoroughness, and keep a positive attitude through it all. Dakota is a true leader in school. Congratulations, Dakota!
