Friends of the Library New Haven General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 6:30 pm. Officers will be
elected and activities for the year will be discussed. Everyone is welcome at this meeting, memberships start at $10.
Everyone is invited to the Ground Breaking for the new branch building on, Saturday April 15, 3:00 pm. Ground breaking will take place at the new location, 200 Douglas St, behind Boondocker. A reception will follow at Old New Haven School, 810 Maupin Ave.
Book Club meets on Wednesday, April 19, 5-6:00 pm. This month we will discuss Nine Women, One Dress by Jane L.
Rosen. Stop by and check out a copy of the book today. Everyone is invited to the discussion.
Big Spring Book Sale opens on Wednesday, April 26 with a Fiends of the Library Preview Sale from 5-7 pm. The sale
opens to the public on Thursday, April 27 from 9am -7pm. It continues Friday April 28, 9 am to-6pm and Saturday, April 29, 9am -5pm. Sale is held at the Old New Haven School. Hard cover books are $1 each, paperbacks sell for 50 cents.
Volunteers are needed to staff the book sale. If you can help out you’ll receive a $5 voucher for each hour you work.
The voucher is redeemable for books sale items. Stop by the branch at 901 Maupin Ave. or call 573-237- 2189 to sign up.
On Saturday, April 29, from 1-3 pm we welcome Dr. Catrina Adams for Wild Edibles, 1-3:00 pm. Learn to identify wild-
growing edible plants at a presentation at Old New Haven School, followed by a local field trip (weather permitting).

Kids and their grownups are invited to Preschool Storytime, for kids up to Kindergarten age, each Tuesday at 10:00 am, and Saturday, April 15, at 10:00 am. In April we will enjoy stories about weather along with songs, finger plays, and crafts.
On Saturday, April 15 at 11:00am stop by for Read, Build, and Play. We will enjoy a story and a Lego building challenge. Kids 4 to 12 are invited.
