Kim isn’t the only one who doesn’t like winter, but unlike Kim, Michelle Bahena enjoys snow days. Michelle admitted, “I like them, but not a lot of them because it extends the school year. I like them because I get to stay home.” Michelle said that she doesn’t like the winter because “your lips get chapped and you have to get bundled up.” To sum up Michelle, she likes snow days, but not too many, and she doesn’t like the winter because of how cold it is. Can you relate?
If you’re not quite like Kim or Michelle, you might be like Taylor Covington or Tenille Duessler. Taylor “isn’t a fan of the cold.” She prefers the heat of summer. However, Tenille prefers the cold weather. “The best part of winter is the snow because it’s beautiful,” Tenille stated. Taylor only likes snow days because she gets to stay home and lay in her warm bed. Tenille also hought about the way the weather of a snow day affects other people. “Ice on the roads is the worst. It’s dangerous and causes a lot of death,” she reminded.
Did you find anyone you could relate to? Or maybe you don’t agree with any of these girls. Dealing with winter, or enjoying it, however you view it, you’ll get through it. In a few months, you’ll be thinking about April showers bringing May flowers, during the transition from winter to spring. Everyone is different, so if you overhear your friend complaining about having chapped lips or being freezing cold, maybe help them out with chapstick or an extra jacket. Don’t let winter get you or your friends down! Help them out and enjoy the upcoming holidays!
