When every girl got done introducing herself, Coach Munsinger divided the girls into three groups that included newbies and veterans. Audrey Ford commented, “It was comforting to know you would have veterans showing you the cheers so you wouldn’t have to learn them yourself.” The veterans had to teach the girls four new cheers: “Shamrocks Got the Fever,” “Shamrocks Lets Do it,” “We Are the Shamrocks and We’ll Ugh Knock You Out,” and “Big G Little O.” To show off their creativity, the girls had to come up with new movements for the cheer “Shamrocks Got the Fever.”
Once the girls were comfortable with the cheers, the tryouts begin. Each group was called up one at a time and performed their cheers as a group, except for “Big G Little O,” which was performed individually. When the cheers were done, each girl showed off her two best jumps and had the option to tumble.
The tryouts ended with Coach Munsinger thanking the girls for coming and stating that the results would be posted on the office window Friday morning.
