After these games, the Shamrock athletes were asked what some of the team’s strengths are that got them through this game.
Lauren Hoerstkamp, senior, responded with, “Communication, getting hyped before the game, and we all have a great bond.”
Natalie Pecaut, senior, said, “We all have very good communication throughout the game.”
To add to this, they were asked what they are looking forward to this season.
Natalie Covington, sophomore, replied with, “Winning more games and becoming better as the season goes on.”
McKenzie Overschmidt, senior, said, “Bonding with all my teammates and hopefully getting to play the whole season and not sit out because of an injury.”
Alaina Scott, junior, added, “I am excited about growing closer as a team and improving our skills.”
This year’s coaches are Mrs. Rachel Meyer coaching freshmen, Mrs. Julie Westermeyer coaching JV, and Mrs. Jaime Hoener coaching the Varsity.
This year JV and Varsity’s seasons have had a good start. Good luck, Shamrock girls, on the rest of your season, and we hope to see more wins!
