As a child, Ms. Allen always wanted to be a teacher. She mentioned, “I always had other teachers influencing me to continue my dream of becoming a teacher.” Ms.Allen said Mrs. Hoener, and Mr.Tucker were always there to encourage her to accomplish the dream of teaching. However, being a high school special education teacher was not her first idea. Originally, Ms.Allen wanted to be a elementary teacher for grades first through sixth. Ms.Allen attended ECC for three-and-a-half years. While there, she received her Associates of Arts in teaching. For 2 years, she attended CMU, in Union, Missouri, and received her Bachelor of Science in Education. In the future, Ms.Allen plans on staying in the education field, teaching students, and helping them with their daily problems. -by Zoie Mathis
