Lately, there have been a lot of movies that have come out of the Marvel and DC universes, like Aquaman from DC and Avengers: Infinity War from Marvel. This is what some of the students of NHHS have said about the rivalry between these organizations.
Chloe Grater, freshman, said that she’s a fan of DC, “I like Superman the best. The symbol on his outfit means hope.”
Brooke Vedder, freshman, answered, “I like Marvel the best. Spiderman is my favorite by far. I love the webs that shoot out from his hands. Super cool.”
Ryanne McDaris, freshman, loves DC and favors Batman as a superhero. “Back in the day, he was super awesome! I love that he doesn’t have actual powers. Michael Keaton did the best at playing him.”
Miranda Durbin, senior, said, “It’s hard to choose! They’re both good.”
Cecelia Malone, senior, commented, “Marvel, because it sounds cooler.”
Grace Allgaier, junior, said, “I love Marvel because it’s what I grew up with. I feel like the characters of Marvel are easier to relate to compared with the characters of DC. I don’t dislike DC; I just like Marvel better.”
Destiny Lafferty, junior, says that she’s a Marvel girl. “I like Loki the best, because I love his magic. He’s amazing. I love Groot too. He’s so cute! I love the baby Groot the best out of Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Both Marvel and DC are very popular; it’s hard to say which is better. NHHS seems to have a hard time determining who wins in this rivalry in the film industry.
