Sixth Grade Girls Basketball Tournaments

New Haven 6th Grade Girls played in the Immaculate Conception Tourney December 14th through the 18th.  In their opening game they played St. Gertrudes and won by a score of 38 to 7.  In their second game, they beat Borgia 42 to 20.  This was a double elimination bracket and Borgia worked their way back to the Championship game against New Haven, and New Haven won by a score of 27 to 21 taking 1st Place in the tourney.

The New Haven 6th Grade Girls played in the New Haven Tourney on December 19th.  In the opening game, New Haven beat Pacific by a score of 38 to 7.  In the Semifinal game, New Haven beat Hermann 42 to 2.  In the Championship game, they played a hard game against Owensville and led the entire first half before falling by a score of 23 to 22 and placing 2nd Place in the Tourney.




The New Haven 6th grade girls played in the Borgia Tournament this past week.  On Monday, January 11th, New Haven beat St. Gertrudes 44 to 10.  New Haven’s second game was on January 12th, and they played the Borgia Knights. New Haven came out firing and won 55 to 15.  On Friday, January 15th, the Shamrocks played in the Semifinals against a much bigger Lonedell team, but New Haven’s fast-paced game was just too much as five New Haven girls were in double figures.  New Haven had a high scoring game, beating Lonedell 61 to 17 and advancing to the Championship Game on Saturday, January 16th.  The tourney was a double elimination tournament.  New Haven faced Borgia for the Championship game and won by a score of 48 to 24 taking home the 1st Place Trophy.

The New Haven 6th grade girls play this weekend, January 23rd and 24th in the Union Tournament as they take on St. Clair in their opening round. Good luck, girls!
