According to CBS NEWS, “Instagram is the top social media app right now. Seventy-six percent of American teenagers use this app. Instagram has over 200 million users and 20 billion photos shared in all. It has over 1.6 billion likes and approximately 60 million photos shared each day.”
Also, it’s not just teens or individuals that have Instagram. Many companies and brands do as well. Totems, a site that specializes in Instagram marketing, says that car, fast food, soft drink, and apparel industries are among the many industries that have adopted Instagram one hundred percent. However, the insurance industry has only accepted the app by thirty percent.
When asked what they think about Instagram, teens from New Haven High School responded in various ways. Hannah Pruessner said, “ I enjoy it and post at least twice a week, if not more.” On the other hand, Kayla Watson stated plainly, “ I don’t like it.” Megan Shockley exclaimed, “I love it! I post about once a week, and I like to post quality photos of me and my friends.” Over all, most teens like Instagram; though, there are some who don’t.
Instagram is ever-changing and evolving. It is now one of the most popular social media websites in the world. The application is frequently adding filters; tools like brightness, saturation, contrast; and performing bug fixes.
Whether you want to share a prom picture, a funny video, or even your Woman Crush Wednesday, Instagram is the place to do it.
