On November 23, 2015, the girls’ varsity Shamrock basketball team began their season on their home floor. To kick off their season, the girls faced the Bourbon Warhawks.
When asked about her pregame feelings, senior Erin Scheer stated, “It was definitely that same bittersweet feeling that I'm sadly starting to become a little too familiar with! I was actually pretty nervous, too. On top of all of that though, I was really excited! Excited for the season in general, the team we have, and playing with my sister!”
The starters for the night were sophomore Emily Scheer, sophomore Lauren Gerlemann, senior Emma Borcherding, senior Erin Scheer, and senior Lauren Bergner.
In the second quarter, sophomore Lauren Gerlemann had six points, and sophomore Emily Scheer had 2 points.
At the half, the Shamrocks lead the Warhawks.

In the third quarter, the Shamrocks struggled a bit offensively, only scoring five points: three from sophomore Lauren Gerlemann, and two from senior Maddie Fleer.
