Senior trip is a highly anticipated event for the seniors at New Haven High School. There are many places the seniors always visit while they are on the trip; a few of these destinations include New York City, The Smithsonian, the 9/11 Memorial and Mount Vernon. Since the trip is still being planned, much is still up for debate. One thing is for certain though, this year’s Senior Class is excited about it and had much to say.
Before these seniors get to their many destinations, they have a fairly long bus ride ahead of them. This ride is estimated to be around 40 hours, and they will stop at least once every 3 hours. Lauren Bergner said “The bus ride is going to be long, but it will also be a lot of fun. With movies and the best classmates in the world, the ride will definitely be entertaining.”
Several students are especially excited for the Broadway shows. Andrew Menke said “I'm excited for Broadway because I've only heard good things about it!” Brooke Bockting said “I absolutely cannot wait! I've heard that any Broadway show is great. And the atmosphere is to die for!”
As far as paying for this trip goes, many students seem to be completely unconcerned and they are confident that it won’t be an issue. Erin Scheer said “I’m not really too concerned about dues because honestly, if you tried to take a trip like it on your own, it would be more expensive!”
Although this trip won’t happen for six more months, the students’ excitement is clear. For now, all the Senior Class can do is wait in anticipation. Erin Scheer also said “I think senior trip is an awesome way for us to get to see a lot of cool things outside of Missouri with all of our classmates.”
Enjoy senior trip, seniors!
