Re: School Cancelled Friday, Oct. 30 for State Volleyball Tournament
Congratulations to the New Haven Shamrocks volleyball team on their victories in district, sectional, and quarterfinal play. The Shamrocks have reached the volleyball final four and will now compete in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31.
We’ve received many questions about whether or not school will be in session on Friday.
Shamrock sports teams have always enjoyed tremendous fan support at state tournaments. It has become New Haven tradition to dismiss class when a team is competing in the state tournament during school hours.
Therefore, school is cancelled for Friday, October 30.

We encourage fans to join us at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The Shamrocks play at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
Game times for Saturday will depend on the outcome of Friday’s games.
We hope to offer a fan bus for Friday’s games. The bus would depart at 6:30 a.m., and we must have 30 confirmed riders in order to run the bus. If you would like to ride the fan bus, please call the high school office at (573) 237-2629 by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28.
