Erin Scheer, daughter of Jim and Angie Scheer, of New Haven has been honored as New Haven High School's Daughter's of the American Revolution "Good Citizen" for the 2015-2016 school year. This award, sponsored by the Valley of the Meramec Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is given to a senior student, male or female, nominated by the faculty who best exemplifies outstanding qualities of leadership, dependability, service, and patriotism in their school, home, and community.
Erin has leadership roles as the National Honor Society President, the FBLA President, and was President of the Class of 2016 her freshman year. She has played volleyball and basketball all four years of high school and is a member of the 2nd place state volleyball team this year. Erin is co-captain of the Marching Band Auxiliary and co-captain of the varsity basketball team. She is a member of FCCLA and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has earned many awards including Academic All-Conference, Academic All- State, First Team All District, First Team All-Conference, and First Team All-State in volleyball. Erin was Academic All-Conference, and First Team All District in basketball last year. She has received the Academic Activity Award in all three previous years of high school. She is also active in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Youth Group.
Erin will graduate in May and pursue a degree in Business at the University of Missouri, Columbia in the fall.
