FCCLA is also wanting to bring in vendors such as hair stylists, manicurists, and florists to set up all appointments necessary for prom day. Additionally, the club plans on having a vendor come in to measure gentlemen for their tuxes.
The prom bazaar is scheduled for March 7 at NHHS. The cafeteria will contain the prom dresses and the vendors, while the gym will hold tents where ladies can try on dresses.
Many students and teachers at New Haven High are excited for the prom bazaar:
Stephanie Russo commented, “I think it’s a really good idea because it’s new, and it would be better than going to different places to get your hair and nails done.”
Mackenzy Vedder said, “I am very excited! I think it’s a great opportunity to sell/buy a dress.”
FCCLA sponsor, Mrs. Miller, exclaimed, “I think the prom bazaar is great because it makes it easy for girls to get ready for prom and get affordable dresses. I hope we can do this for the years to come.”
So, if you are going to prom and still don’t have a dress or appointments made, come to New Haven High to select your affordable dress or sell your old dress and help fund the New Haven Track project!
