On 12-5-2017, information was obtained during the course of the investigation that led deputies to a possible suspect in the church burglaries. The named suspect had active warrants for felony stealing, trespassing, assault 4th degree, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and shoplifting. Deputies, along with Sheriff’s Detectives, St. Clair Police and members of the Multi County Narcotics Enforcement Unit responded to an apartment in St. Clair to try to locate the suspect. Intel was provided and the suspect, 32 year old Timothy J. Buerk of Villa Ridge, was located in the area of Paradise Mobile Home Park. Mr. Buerk was taken into custody in reference to the outstanding warrants. Contact was made at the apartment in St. Clair where Mr. Buerk had been residing and several pieces of stolen property from the church burglaries were located inside the apartment. Three other subjects were arrested to include a 29 year old female, a 38 year old male, and a 41 year old male. All three were from the St. Clair area. A warrant for 8 counts of Burglary 2nd was obtained on Timothy J. Buerk, Jr. bond was set at $30,000. cash only. Sheriff Pelton would like to thank the law enforcement officers that assisted in the case and the Franklin County community for being vigilant and helping to check on the churches in our area.
