Jon Stone ran a 2:20.63 in the 800. Later, Jon Stone looked back on the meet: “Well, it was just like any other meet, so I ran hard as I would normally do. It’s just that there weren’t that many people there, so there was less people to cheer on.”
Keven McDowell got a 2:23.00 in the 800m and a 55.42 in the 400m. Keven pointed out, “It was different. There wasn’t as many New Haven people there, so you saw a lot of your other schools. I’ll be glad for the next meet when we have everybody.”

Coach Aaron Peirick oversaw all the events the juniors participated in and reflected on the event: “Well, we weren’t going in in with the ideal crew, and the weather wasn’t ideal: it was windy and cold. But they did pretty well, nonetheless. The athletes didn’t go about it like they didn’t need to compete, since it was cold and windy, the seniors weren’t there, and it was all varsity competitors, but they ran hard and did their best.”
The Owensville meet was different from all the other meets, so it was a bit more relaxed, but it was also interesting to see how just the juniors would do at a meet. Overall, both girls and boys teams placed 13th.
