Astral Glass and Lancito’s are both very well-known businesses in the small town of New Haven. Located on the riverfront, these are two of the many stores and businesses that line Front Street.
Astral Glass is a small glass shop downtown--there are many simple, yet creative and elegant pieces of glass artwork that give this small charming store its character. The walls and shelves are lined with colorful pieces of carefully crafted glass.

Lance speaks excitedly about his inspiration to become involved with Astral Glass, “The inspiration was just to be an artist, and I happened to stumble upon very magical, fun material.”
Astral Glass is not the only passion Lance has when it comes to business ownership; he also is the owner of Lancito’s Pizzeria. Lancito’s Pizzeria is located downtown near Astral Glass.
Lance expresses, “I love making good food and keeping the people happy.”
There is a variety of clientele that comes through Lancito’s Pizzeria. One student Taylor Gillespie says, “I love pizza and Lance makes the best REAL pizza I have ever had”.
Lance feels very positively about the community as a whole. He states, “The community and the town are almost like a big family.” He went on to say, “The community is a really strong community with a great sense of pride and a strong heart towards helping one another.”
When asked if he has any advice for young or new entrepreneurs, he says, “Work hard, stay strong, believe in your dream and never stop believing.”
