The auxiliary took a caption of outstanding Color Guard as well to wrap up the season.
Carolyn, a flute player of the marching band, states, “I’m happy we reached our goal for the year. I have to give it to the band - that was probably one of the best marching seasons I’ve had in my four years of marching. We clearly did an incredible job!”
After the parade, a performance by the MSU Pride Band flooded the field. All the bands that competed in the parade gathered around to listen to the impressive and outstanding quality of the Pride Band. It was during this time that the drum majors of the Pride Band, as well as the director, announced the captions from each class. The New Haven auxiliary claimed their trophy.
Afterwards, the band went for lunch at the Battlefield Mall. With a packed food court and hungry stomachs, the band dismembered for a tasty meal. There was the opportunity to look around the mall when they finished eating, as well. Some members snagged a few deals at popular stores likes Forever 21 and Starbucks.
Kimmy McDowell, a sophomore clarinet player, states, “It was a new and interesting adventure for everyone involved in band. We hope to do it again in the future.”

The long bus ride home ended the trip for our band members. Some were happy to finally see their little town of New Haven, Missouri after the long trip. Rachel Connell comments, “It was a relieving and exciting moment to see my hometown. The trip was fun, but it’s nice to finally get to sleep in my own bed.”
Good job Shamrocks!
