
The spirits were high Shamrock gym at the boys’ basketball game on Friday, December 11. As the Shamrocks raced out on the court to the tune of Jaws, students sat in highly adorned Christmas gear, anticipating a good game. The student section didn’t exactly get this Christmas wish. The Shamrocks lost 67-46 to the Montgomery County Wildcats.
The game started with a deficit, with the Shamrocks trailing the Wildcats after the first quarter 20-12. The boys worked to close the gap, but never gained momentum, trailing 35-28 at halftime and 53-39 after the third quarter.
Junior Will Soete led the Shamrocks with 14 points. Junior Brady Kruse followed with 10, with senior Andrew Menke close behind with 8.
