SHOE DRIVE FOR CLEAN WATER
What: NHE Service Leaders are sponsoring a shoe drive
When: April 12th-April 29th
Where: Shoes will be collected in the foyer by the Elementary office and at the High School and Middle School Office. There will be collection barrels in front of the Elementary school for after school and weekend hours.
Why: Donated shoes equal clean water for people
How: Shoeman Water Project collects donated shoes - any kind - new or used - and exports the shoes to street vendors in places like Kenya, Haiti and South America, providing affordable shoes and jobs for those communities. The funds from exporting are used for clean water projects in communities around the world.
