Molly Munsinger went up to bat first in inning one. Munsinger made contact with the ball, and it just kept going! When asked how it felt to hit that home run, Molly said, “I never believed it would happen. I’m glad I decided to play softball, and it’s great to have Coach Scheer as my coach, since he was my first coach, actually, since kindergarten ”
After that, the Shamrocks got up to bat and meant business. A lot of contact was made, including two doubles from Tenille Duessler and also doubles from Carlie Steinbeck and Lindsay Nixon. After all this action, many, even Coach Scheer, thought the score would be quite different. The batting may have been quite a scene, but the teammates agree that their defense could have gone better.
Although it was an entertaining game, the score still remained at one for the Shamrocks, and South Callaway came away with a score of eleven. The Shamrocks play against the Pacific Indians tomorrow. Good luck girls! -by Tenille Duessler
