Bob Pruessner, Brady Kruse, and Riley Otten are New Haven’s three top scorers and most experienced players, each with four years on the team. Other seniors include Julianna Parsons and Thomas Ley. Juniors Dalton Gerdes and Kalli Stubblefield round out the rest of the team. The team is coached by Jared Pruessner.
After finishing with a record of 26-23 in the regular season and 5-1 in the Four Rivers Conference, New Haven will face several of the same teams from last year’s district tournament. Belle, who has won the tournament the past two years, returns along with Crystal City, Linn, and Kingston. Steelville is new to the district tournament this year.
Preliminary rounds will be played at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 a.m. Following a break for lunch, the top four teams will advance to the semifinals at 1:00 p.m. The championship game is scheduled to be played at 2:00 in the high school band room. Other games will be played in the art room and library. All are welcome to attend. There is no charge for admission.
