Tuesday, August 26, the New Haven Shamrocks took on the New Bloomfield Wildcats in a home softball game. Even though the sky was rumbling, the game carried on to the full seven innings without a raindrop in sight. Emily Scheer started off the game pitching and continued to pitch throughout the entire game.
During the first inning, New Haven scored once, and New Bloomfield did not tally a run. Neither of the teams scored in the second or third inning, but when it came to the fourth inning, New Haven got one more run; however, New Bloomfield caught up to them by scoring three times in the fourth inning. The Shamrocks did not score again until the sixth inning, but by then, the Wildcats had six runs. By the end of the game, the New Bloomfield Wildcats walked away with a victory, with a score of 9-3. -by Paige Adams
