On Thursday, September 17, 2015, the Shamrocks took on the Union Wildcats in their second conference volleyball game on their home court. First, the freshmen played and defeated the opposing team in three sets. Then, the junior varsity team also won, but this time in only two sets. Last but not least, the Varsity team had their turn to play the Wildcats. During the game, the Shamrock’s setter, Erin Scheer, had a total of 19 assists, and one of the outside hitters, Emma Borcherding, had a total of 8 kills and also 8 digs.
When asked about how she thought the game went on Thursday night, a middle hitter, Lauren Bergner said, “I thought we served well and protected our court well against them.”
Another player, Maddie Fleer said, ”I feel as though we accomplished what Mrs. Hoener wanted us to, especially with our serving and I look forward to playing them again in the Hermann tournament.”
The Shamrocks ended up with a win that night, the first set going 25-6, and the second set 25-9.
