Current Events students were asked to create a presentation on a country of their choice as their final project for Mrs. Schlafer. Students worked in a variety of media to complete their assignment. Lydia Pataky created a Grand Canyon chocolate cake, Kalli Stubblefield recited the Gettysburg address, Diana Ribera created artworks illustrating Mexico’s “Day of the Dead”, Andi Wideman made a 3,000 piece sticky note mosaic of the Mona Lisa, and Aiden Bailey wrote an essay based on the new Martin Luther King Memorial in Washington D.C. that he visited while on senior trip. There are nearly thirty students in the class, so there was a wide variety of projects. | |
