NEW HAVEN, Mo - On February 1st, at 4:15 p.m., Officer Jacki Brown received a report of a 10-year-old child who ran away from home; the child was last seen near Orchard Street and believed to have ran into the woods.
Within ten minutes, all available officers were searching and within 20 minutes, deputies were searching the woods, along with New Haven Berger Volunteer firemen.
At 40 minutes, a helicopter from Franklin County Sheriffs Dept. was putting night vision on to assist, and Washington and Gerald/Rosebud firefighters were on the way.
The child was located by police and firefighters, thanks to a phoned-in tip by a citizen prior to the arrival of the others.
