New Haven High School senior Julia McIntyre is the recipient of the Graden D. Lovelace Memorial Scholarship for STEM. Julia is the daughter of Daniel and Jennifer McIntyre of New Haven. The Graden D. Lovelace Scholarship for STEM was created to give students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math careers an opportunity to further their education in those careers. The scholarship is worth $4,000 payable over 4 years. Only those students pursuing careers in STEM are eligible to apply. Julia was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Scholar Bowl for two years. She was a member of the National Honor Society and the Shamrock Conservation Club. She was also a member of the cross country team and track and field team for 4 years. Julia has earned many honors and awards throughout high school including being Academic All State all 4 years in cross country and track and field. Julia will be attending Missouri S & T University to pursue a degree in Bio-chemistry. |
