What do you look forward to in 2016?
Some people might answer that they look forward to their birthday in which they become another year older. Many students in high school are looking towards future years in which they obtain more freedom--such as getting a driver’s license or going to college.
What do you look forward to in 2016?
Some people might answer that they look forward to their birthday in which they become another year older. Many students in high school are looking towards future years in which they obtain more freedom--such as getting a driver’s license or going to college.
Others might say that they look forward to the summer, a time in which they don’t have to be in school and can hang out with friends for an unlimited amount of time. Others still are anticipating high school graduation and the excitement of starting out as an adult.
Every January, we face expectations for the upcoming year. But what exactly are people at New Haven High expecting of this new year?
According to senior, Brooke Bockting, traveling is one of the major things she is looking forward to. “There are so many places that are left unseen in a lifetime. There are so many possibilities and adventures that are imagined but are never accomplished.” Rachel Connell is also excited about the fact that she will be traveling to Orlando, Florida this summer. “I’ve never been to Florida in my entire life. I have a bunch of things planned for the trip, and, needless to say, I’m super excited--especially to go to Universal Studios and the Orlando Zoo!”
Jon Stone, a senior, will be visiting the zoo this year. He states, “I want to see the monkeys because I absolutely love them!”
Freshman Kamryn Poe states, “I am looking forward to the next softball season. Softball is my favorite sport. I look forward to seeing my wonderful teammates and enjoy playing softball again.”
There are a million other exciting things to look forward in the year 2016. It can be something as simple as working out your exciting plans for the summer. No matter what you have to look forward to, make sure you make 2016 a year to remember!
