| New Haven High School Sophomore, Lexi Oetterer, earned second place in the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Competition hosted by the VFW Auxiliary. Oetterer's artwork features the military accomplishments of her late Grandfather, Donald E. Oetterer. Donald Oetterer served as Sergeant in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
