Leadership week is a special week at NHHS in which students that may have never worked together become a little bit closer through competition in a variety of events. This year there were seventeen teams battling it out for the title of top Leadership Week Team 2016. Each team is made up of a mix of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a variety of different interests. Leadership week teaches students how to work together whether we are competing in penny wars, trivia, tug of war, or an obstacle course.
This year’s winning leadership week teams were the Patriots and the Rockstar Divas. The Patriots raised the most money for the New Haven Food Pantry through penny wars and the Rockstar Divas won in overall points. Members of each team will be treated to China King delivered at lunch next week. Leadership week is a great opportunity for all the students at New Haven High to become a little closer than before.
