Jets Track Club that starts April 3. Surrounding area kids ages 8-18 can now participate in organized track and field training and compete on a local and national level. We hope to give area youth a chance to determine if running is their gift and passion at an early age. We think training in track improves speed and strength for other sports and gives kids a chance to participate in individual, non-ball related sports while enjoying all the benefits of being on a team. The Jets are about giving area families more options for youth athletics. Some kids may not love baseball, or basketball, but find out they can run and love the process of training and getting better at it. We are hoping to get the word out to the families in our area. Last fall, for cross country, we had kids traveling from a few counties outside of Franklin County and find it makes for a dynamic team with new friendships. Key Info: WHO: Kids ages 8-18, interested in running can join. Middle School/High School students who run for their school and compete in MSHSAA meets can join after their season is over.
