There are also some “not-so” traditional things students do with their families. For instance, Beth Schenk said that her uncles all bring their guitars and sing for everyone.
“Our tradition is that before we open up presents, we have to go around the room and hug everyone once,” Jennifer Alvarez stated.
In Emily Lewis’ family, they’ve never had a traditional Christmas. She said that last year for their Christmas dinner they ate tacos.
Brandon Carey enjoys the tradition of a family football game.
Another tradition that Paige Adam’s family enjoys is watching their family’shome videos.
Some students at New Haven High just enjoy the memories that have been made over the years with their family and friends. Mackenzy Vedder’s favorite memory is “making gingerbread houses with my best friends.” Other students remember a specific the present that they got. Jon Stone said that his most memorable Christmas was when he got his first Guitar Hero game. Getting her four wheeler for Christmas was Molly Munsinger’s favorite Christmas memory. As for Tim Prussener, he says that all Christmases should be our favorite, each in it’s own way.
Those are just some of the many Christmas traditions we have at New
Haven High. Some are very traditional, and some aren’t. What kind of Christmas traditions do you enjoy with your family?
