The Shamrocks struggled with hitting the ball. Niki Zietzmann would be the only Shamrock to get on base, due to getting hit by the ball in the fourth inning.
“I thought we could've played a lot better. We weren't very aggressive when we went up to bat. We also made too many errors. I hope we can improve with our next game,” remarked New Haven softball player Abby Perdue.
The Indians played a tight defense, stopping any ball that was hit in the infield. “Tonight we struggled with hitting the ball. We gave up too many errors. This was a team we could have easily played with,” said head Coach Tim Scheer.
The Shamrocks will play a 4:30 home game Thursday night against the St. Clair Bulldogs and again Saturday in the rescheduled Owensville Tournament. -by Molly Munsinger
