Sophomore Kate Weiser received very different gifts. She answered, “I got a thesaurus one year for Christmas, that was my worst Christmas gift ever! My best Christmas gift ever was my Grandma Tootie’s peanut butter cookies.” On the flip side, Noah Addison’s favorite Christmas gift was a gun, and his least favorite gift was fake lottery tickets.
Senior Hannah Kruse’s best gift ever received were two puppies from Santa. The worst gift ever, according to her, wasn’t too thrilling. “I received a set of furry, lime green headphones; they weren’t exactly my style.” Senior Julie Moeckli revealed that her worst Christmas present ever was a sweater dress; her best Christmas gift was an HP laptop/tablet combo.
Freshman Emma Engelbrecht stated that her worst Christmas gift ever was a pair of socks. When asked about her favorite gift received, she exclaimed, “My High School Musical tent when I was 6!” Another freshman, Lauren Gerlemann, received a study chair one year, which was her worst gift. Her best gift, she says, was a phone.
On average, the number of gifts received each year in the U.S. is 13. Some are good, some not so much. This year what will yours be? Will they be HO-HO-HOrrible or Joy to the World?
