Other students are wandering a little farther away from home. Students Hannah Pruessner and Beth Schenck plan to attend Missouri State University in Springfield. Hannah Kruse voiced, “ I am attending Mississippi State University as an Animal and Dairy Science Major with pre-acceptance into the College of Veterinary Medicine.” Cortanie Gale is attending Crowder College in Neosho Missouri. Cortanie stated, “ I am so excited to graduate and start my adventure as a Roughrider, but am really nervous to leave everyone I have ever known behind. It will be weird not having people helping me make decisions; it will all be up to me now.”
College isn’t for everyone. Some students will jump right into the workforce or even be brave enough to fight for our country. Justin Terschluse says, “ I am excited to graduate and start going to work.”
When asked if he was ready for the real world, Willy Schieble simply voiced, “Yes, very much so. Though I never understood that question's phrasing.” Willy jokingly continued, “Have we not lived in a real world all our lives? What makes the adult world more real than our world? Who is to say what is real and what is not? And, of course, the ever mind-eroding question: what is reality after all?”
The next step in life is a big decision. As the class of 2015 gets ready to set sail on their adventure, they will leave their mark wherever they go, just as they have on this town.
