On April 4th, at approximately 12:08 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Rye Creek Rd, in Lonedell, MO for a report of a man lying on the ground in a brush fire, possibly deceased.
Family members stated that they had left the house at around 10:45 AM, and were gone for about an hour. The victim, Dennis Taylor Sr, age 66 remained at home.
When they returned to the residence they noticed smoke and eventually noticed a grass fire as they approached the residence. They observed the victim, Dennis Taylor, lying on his back in an area of the fire who was not breathing.
Ambulance personnel responded to the scene however Mr. Taylor was deceased. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death. No foul play is suspected at this time.
