The charges stemmed from actions that occurred in the home with the female victim prior to the arrival of the delivery service who noticed a message for help written on a package he was to pick up. He then notified law enforcement. The endangering charges stem from allegations that he locked a 3-year old child in a room for several hours while allegedly assaulting the female in the residence.
FRANKLIN COUNTY SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE December 6, 2016
On December 6, 2016, at approximately 11:22 AM, deputies responded to the 6000 block of Willow Ford Road after receiving a phone call from a package delivery service indicating somebody at a residence may be in need of help.
The delivery service driver arrived at the residence and was given a package from a female at the residence to deliver. Written on the package was ‘contact 911’. As deputies were in route to speak with the driver, deputies identified the address on Willow Ford Road and the subjects who lived at that residence, to include a 3 year old toddler. Deputies also learned the male subject had previous arrests to include assault. The Deputies made contact with the female at the residence and she was cooperative. As she was speaking with deputies, a male subject shut the front door and refused to cooperate.
Deputies learned the male subject was possibly armed with a .45 caliber handgun and had access to rifles. Due to the male subject not cooperating with law enforcement and the incident involving a toddler inside the house; the Franklin County SWAT team was activated.
Before the SWAT team arrived at the residence, the male subject surrendered to law enforcement. He was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. The toddler was located inside the residence unharmed. This investigation is on-going. He is identified as a white male, age 33 from Robertsville.
