How many teens out in the world have dreamed of rolling into the school parking lot in their first car? Where do these teens get these cars? Some get their car as a gift, some get theirs online, some get theirs from individuals, and some get theirs from a dealership.
Senior, Nick Slocum, reported that after he got his first car, he “went where the road took him.”
Other teens like junior, Bobby Pruessner, states, “Sometimes I just go to the McDonald's in Washington, buy a 10 chicken McNugget meal and just drive around the countryside.”
Another aspect of freedom you can obtain from a first car is the ability to play any music they want at any volume. Brooke Bockting, senior, states, “ I listened to music so loud it hurt. And I sang at the top of my lungs.”
When a teen drives by in their car, you almost always hear their music blaring.
Most teens, after getting their first car, are sent on errands for their parents.
Allison Long states, “I would always go to the store if my family needed me to go and I would play my music really loud because I was not being told that I couldn't.”
The journey that teens take to get that perfect first car is one that they will never forget.
They will always remember the flaws, road trips, errands, and repairs.
They will carry those experiences with them to their second car and to their future children’s first car.
