The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Organization at New Haven High School made a $200 donation to Friendship Plate. The newly formed New Haven Community Outreach oversees several area charity organizations including the New Haven Food Pantry and Friendship Plate. Friendship Plate serves a nutritious meal to anyone in the community who might have a need. Needs range from individuals living on a limited income to individuals who wish to visit with others while sharing a meal to people who are new to the community. Meals are served on the second Saturday of each month in the fellowship hall of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ. The doors open at 4:30 and the meal is served from 5-6. All meals are completely free of charge. People are encouraged to come and stay. Live entertainment is almost always on hand! NHCO depends on donations in order to serve the community.
