Many people are already well-informed regarding Donald Trump, mainly due to the things he has said and the people he has offended. However, in order to really understand a candidate, you need to understand their policies, goals, and plans.
Many people are already well-informed regarding Donald Trump, mainly due to the things he has said and the people he has offended. However, in order to really understand a candidate, you need to understand their policies, goals, and plans.
Trump has been very clear and concise about what he believes in. He certainly is not one to hide his opinions. He is very outspoken against ISIS and terrorism as a whole; he has described many ways in which he plans to fight ISIS. Very recently, he has even defended the practice of waterboarding, according to CNN, which by many has been considered to be a cruel and inhumane practice.
He says, "They're chopping off heads of Christians and many other people in the Middle East. They're chopping heads off; they laugh at us when they hear we're not going to approve waterboarding, and then they'll have a James Foley and others where they cut off their heads."
Trump has also presented many plans to close the southern border and stop illegal immigration. According to CNN, one of such plans is his wall idea: "I am going to create borders. No drugs are coming in. We're going to build a wall. You know what I'm talking about. You have confidence in me. Believe me, I will solve the problem." He also claims Mexico will pay for this wall.
Trump has also taken a stand against the immigration of people who worship the Islamic faith in the U.S. He has said in the past that he doesn’t want to allow any one of that faith to enter the U.S.
Trump has grown in popularity as one of the top Republican candidates; his supporters are clearly loyal and they certainly want to see him come out on top of the presidential race.
Trump has always attacked Obamacare as well: “I am so against Obamacare. I've been saying it for two years in my speeches, I'm going to repeal and replace Obamacare."
While many may have negative things to say about Trump, there are certainly quite a few pros when it comes to the Republican front-running candidate. He’s a businessman, and many people believe Trump will run America like a business. Many Americans believe that how this country should be run.
One thing many people like about Trump is the fact that he is very open about his beliefs; he doesn’t hide much. His southern border wall policy is quite revolutionary and is widely accepted as a valid way of solving the issue of illegal immigration.
Many people have strong opinions about trump, Michael McKernan says, “I like him; he points out huge issues that need to be brought up. 10 thumbs up”
Jared Horstmann states, “I think that Donald Trump offers a lot of different things, more than most Republican candidates can offer, but as of right now I would not vote for him because I don't care how well you can sling mud at other people. I care about a candidate's policies for this nation. As of right now, his policies are not very good.”
Trump has done quite well in the presidential race; as for how he will do in the future, only time will tell.
