They came home that day with one medalist from the varsity girls team-- each race awarded plaques to the top three teams. Here are the teams that the Shamrocks had to compete against: Helias Catholic High School, Chaminade College Prep School, Principa High School, St. Francis Borgia High School, Lutheran (St. Charles) High School, Steelville High School, Whitfield High School, Clayton High School, Kirkwood High School, Troy Buchanan High School, John Burroughs High School, St. Louis University High School, Jefferson City High School, Ft. The athletes were asked questions like are they improving, are they ready for districts, and are they excited for state?
New Haven senior Dominic Lewis had a time of 18:31 and had this to say: “I think I ran very well.”
Caroline Otten, junior, had this to say about the race, “I felt I ran [well], but I didn’t get the time I wanted and I got a standpoint of where I’m at. I think I’m ready for districts and state if I put in the hard work.”
Chloe Grater, sophomore, mentioned that, “I am improving and I feel ready for state and districts ”
Good luck, Shamrocks, at districts and state.
