The annual Senior Trip will begin April 15th and will end April 22nd. With only a few short weeks until that date, seniors are becoming more and more nervous, excited, anxious, and eager.
From the bright flowers of the Biltmore; through the alluring Appalachian Mountains; to the hustling, bustling streets of NYC; the trip will definitely be one to remember. Most days of the trip are completely filled with activities and plans. One morning, we’re eating breakfast in D.C., lunch in Philadelphia, then dinner in New York! Although every part of the trip is equally fantastic, our seniors naturally have their own excitements. Watching the Wicked show on Broadway, visiting the 9/11 Museum in New York City, and seeing the White House are some of the most highly anticipated activities of the trip.
Kate Weiser says, “I have zoomed through the cities before but I missed the MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art). I hope this time I will be able to explore and learn more!”
An easily forgotten hassle for the trip is the packing and preparation. Days in New York City and Washington D.C. may be strenuous and long, as walking will be our main form of transportation. Taylor Oetterer says she has been going to the gym every day in preparation for these long days. Nicki Zeitzmann says, “I'm a big list person, so I have made multiple lists of what I need and have to pack.”
As April rolls around and the trip becomes closer and closer with each passing day, New Haven High School is excited for all the fun our seniors are sure to have!
