Friday, December 2nd, kicked off "Christmas by Moonlight" in downtown New Haven. Many people enjoyed visiting Santa at the Caboose, listening to carolers during the Lighting of the Christmas Tree, shopping in the Riverfront Arts District, and watching "The Grinch" at the Walt.
More fun is promised for the next two Fridays. On these following dates you will be able to listen to carolers, shop, and more. The downtown stores will be open until 8pm for the people who like to shop late.
Dates:
Friday, December 9: The festivities and caroling will begin again along Front Street beginning at 6pm. Rosalie will read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” for children in front of the town clock. There will also be plenty of hot food, hot cocoa, and a make-your-own s'mores over an open fire pit. There will also be chili and hotdogs for a donation of nonperishable food items or cash to the community food pantry.
Friday, December 16: Final day of Christmas by Moonlight. Enjoy some very merry carriage rides from Wine Country Tours. Once again the shops will be open until 8pm for those late shoppers. Once more there is chili and hotdogs for donating any nonperishable food items or cash at the food pantry.
