The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Washington, Gerald, New Haven, Union, Sullivan, St. Clair and Pacific Police Departments and the Missouri State Highway Patrol has challenged the local firefighters to a basketball game. This “Battle Between the Badges” is to benefit five families have children battling cancer.
On May 4th these two teams will faceoff at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School for an epic showdown. A prayer for those battling cancer and their families will be held prior to the game. The National Anthem will be sung and Retired Sheriff Gary Toelke tossing the jump ball. All entry, concessions, t-shirt sales and half time raffle will benefit these families and their day to day treatment costs.
At halftime the raffle winner of our Stoeger 12 gauge shotgun donated by Freedom Heating and Cooling will be drawn. Anyone interested can pre-order a t-shirt for $15 or purchase raffle tickets ($10 each) by contacting Lynette at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office or Cindy at the Washington Police Department.

Sponsorships up to $200 will receive their name on display the night of the game and those sponsorships above $200, received by April 3rd will receive recognition on display the day of the game as well as on the back of the t-shirts being sold.
