Join me as we take a spooky trip in a thrilling countdown of the scariest, creepiest Halloween movies out there. For the next five days leading up to Halloween, I will be presenting to you different horror movies that you might not have heard of before, opening your mind and helping you get into the spirit of Halloween. Today, we proceed to #5.
A barber, Benjamin Barker, who is also called Sweeney Todd (played by Johnny Depp), comes back to London after fifteen years to find out that his wife swallowed arsenic. He opens a shop above Mrs. Lovett, played by Helena Bonham Carter, who sells meat pies. Sweeney Todd starts a rampage of killings against anybody who has made him or his family suffer.
This musical is set by beautifully meshing together the vocals and special effects of the movie. The eerie atmosphere will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, but you might find yourself entranced by the costumes and the set designs. Sweeney Todd will enchant and horrify you, making you want to watch it again and again.
