Join me as we take a spooky trip in a thrilling countdown of the scariest, creepiest Halloween movies out there. For the next eleven days leading up to Halloween, I will be presenting to you different horror movies that you might not have heard of before, opening your mind and helping you get into the spirit of Halloween. Today, we go to #11.
This PG movie will scare the socks right off of your feet. Coraline Jones, voiced by Dakota Fanning, is an adventurous girl who is neglected by her workaholic parents. During the evenings, she crawls through a secret door in the living room, crossing over into a whole new world that has its own sinister secrets. Coraline has an A-list cast featuring big names like Teri Hatcher, Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, and John Hodgman.
I would recommend this film to any family that wants to get into the spirit of Halloween and does not know where to begin. Coraline is a wonderful, stop-motion animation that will make you hide under a blanket!
